Retro Makeup to go with the Pin Up Hairstyles

Lauren Rennells, author of the book Vintage Hairstyling, has a companion book that goes hand in hand with it called Retro Makeup: Techniques for Applying the Vintage Look. With these two books anyone can re-create that pin up model look for those rockabilly nights out on the town.

Rennells goes back through the years of 1920s, 1930s, 1940, 1950s and 1960s to show the different styles and transitions of each decade to give you not only the history but the technique in which to do these styles. This book is a step-by-step how-to book with real history and lot’s of background research to give real facts and interesting tidbits.

Retro Makeup is a 104 page full color handbook with full color pictures and start to finish instructions on how to create the looks and styles made famous by the movie stars of old as well as the ones from the not so distant past. No matter what your skill level is, this book will get you going and up to speed to create a great face for those nights on the town with friends. Some of the selected favorites are “The Jazz Singer, Film Noir and The Pin Up”
